Many Ways....

...it's been a long time, I almost forgot about this website....

What makes a story more interesting that just the plot is where the plot is going... It's the story teller's job to hint to as much possibilities as possible in terms of where the story could be headed, while only sticking to the best...

Simply having a story that leads straight forward from beginning to end is very boring... and having a story where there is no indication to where it could lead is also not a great idea... Good story telling relies on the fact that the reader or viewer is constantly interaction with he story and thinking about it, that is the definition if interest and entertainment....

Pour your heart out into your story, but make sure your heart isn't boring, because sadly, in this world even if you put your deepest emotions on the paper, if it's not interesting or entertaining, the reader won't bother...

  1. Nice post. It really depends on the reader too, which is why searching for a demographic can be important. I'm not sure how interesting my stories are overall, but I get a response from many who like them.

  2. I liked your story idea with the mysterious murders and them forgetting about it... Because there's a million things that you could write about with it! A million things to think about when reading it...

  3. Thanks. I am still writing it. It seemed like the most original idea, since there is hardly anything like it. I have an idea of how I want it end, so I've been trying to work that in, but I've already put in the twist I told you about.

  4. yes, I indeed love original plots! Too much anime series and movies seem to have the same formula... especially love stories, they start funny, middle is usually sweet and ending is usually tragic... that's a very popular formula these days...

  5. The fighting anime series especially have the same formula. I think my second book, which is already available in both electronic and print now, may not be as original as my third though.

  9. Thanks. My first check from Lulu was $51 dollars. Because of that fact, I think this next check may be bigger.

  10. I hope it is! If you don't make much money off your books.. I might not make much either... but then again, Money isn't supposed to be a motivational factor... but I just can't resist!
